Built around the property
A shared or commercial pool has different demands from a typical backyard pool. Usage can be higher, more people depend on the pool being available, and managers may need clear information about servicing, chemical use and equipment problems.
We tailor the servicing schedule to the pool, its equipment and how the facility is used rather than applying the same routine to every property.
Regular servicing
Depending on the property and agreed scope, commercial servicing can include:
- Professional photometric water testing and balancing
- Pool and spa cleaning
- Skimmer and pump-basket cleaning
- Filter checks, backwashing and cartridge maintenance
- Chlorinator and dosing-system checks
- Monitoring pumps, cleaners and other pool equipment
- Checking controller settings and relevant water readings
- Recording test results and work completed
- Reporting faults or maintenance items that need further attention
Water and equipment
Higher use can place more demand on both water treatment and equipment. We look at the pool as a complete system: water quality, circulation, filtration, chlorination and the equipment responsible for keeping it operating.
If a fault develops, PoolGuys can also provide fault finding, repairs, replacement and equipment installation, so routine servicing and equipment work do not need to be treated as completely separate problems.
Clear reporting
Property managers and committees need to know when something changes. Our service records capture water-test results and work completed, and we communicate when an equipment issue, repair or other maintenance item needs a decision.
That gives the person responsible for the property a clearer picture of what is happening without needing to be poolside for every visit.
Public pool requirements
Some commercial pools and spas are classed as public pools under NSW health legislation and have specific operating, monitoring and recordkeeping requirements. These requirements vary with the facility and are the responsibility of the pool operator.
Where this applies, professional servicing can form part of the property’s pool-management arrangements, but it does not replace any testing, records or other obligations the operator is required to carry out between visits.
Commercial pool FAQs
What types of commercial properties do you service?
We work with strata and other shared or commercially managed properties. Contact us with the type of facility and pool you manage and we can confirm whether it fits our service routes and capabilities.
How often should a commercial pool be serviced?
It depends on usage, pool size, equipment and the requirements of the property. Higher-use pools generally need closer attention than lightly used residential pools. Any legally required operator monitoring is separate from the frequency of professional service visits.
Do you provide service records?
Yes. Our service sheets record water-test results and the work carried out during the visit, along with items that need further attention.
Can you repair commercial pool equipment?
We can investigate common pool-equipment problems and advise on repair or replacement. The work required will depend on the equipment and scale of the system.
Does PoolGuys handle pool compliance?
We provide pool servicing, testing, maintenance records and equipment support. Regulatory responsibility remains with the operator, and specialist inspection or compliance services may be required depending on the facility.
